A sampling of the portraits I’ve done over the years, in a variety of media, including gouache, acrylic, digital, soft sculpture, graphite and watercolor. Oh, and pastel. And maybe some other stuff, as I continue to add more work.

Gentle-eyed Rosie! This portrait was done in gouache originally. The client wanted a different background, which I did paint for her, but never re-scanned. This was a version I mocked up in Photoshop to try out a different look.

Loca Loquat was a really fun project that started as a part of an alphabet game on an online forum called Greytalk. Loca’s mom and I enjoyed the graphic so much, we decided it needed to be a painting. Acrylic on gessoed panel

Ah, Hubble! With that serious face and that powder-puff top-knot, moth-wing ears and polka-dot skin, accented with your studded collar, you are a lovable mixture of elements! Hubble’s portrait was done in acrylic on canvas

Little Fluffy! Like an animated teddy bear. I love his little lop-sided smile! Acrylic on panel
