| "Sammi" Acrylic on canvas Xan Blackburn previous back to portrait gallery next Sadie's portrait was done as part of one of my occasional *Portrait Marathons. Such a cheerful face! Sammi has those almond-colored eyes that blue fawns get, where it's lighter on top. Like my own Brilly boy's. I enjoyed painting them just for that! *That's when I announce a first-come, first-served sign up, and paint small portraits of each pet as quickly as I can (not always that quickly!), until the alloted number has been reached or I run out of canvasses or time. There is always a donation made out of the proceeds for these marathons to a pet welfare organization I choose ahead of time. |
